Satellite provided customer promises services, a forecast of potential domestic demand through the year 2000. Volume 4: Sensitivity analysis
The overall purpose was to forecast the potential United States domestic telecommunications demand for satellite provided customer promises voice, data and video services through the year 2000, so that this information on service demand would be available to aid in NASA program planning. To accomplish this overall purpose the following objectives were achieved: (1) development of a forecast of the total domestic telecommunications demand; (2) identification of that portion of the telecommunications demand suitable for transmission by satellite systems; (3) identification of that portion of the satellite market addressable by consumer promises service (CPS) systems; (4) identification of that portion of the satellite market addressable by Ka-band CPS system; and (5) postulation of a Ka-band CPS network on a nationwide and local level. The approach employed included the use of a variety of forecasting models, a parametric cost model, a market distribution model and a network optimization model. Forecasts were developed for: 1980, 1990, and 2000; voice, data and video services; terrestrial and satellite delivery modes; and C, Ku and Ka-bands

Lattice Diffusion in Face-Centered Cubic Metals
The paper attempts to survey available information on lattice diffusion between two face-centred cubic metals. The Grube and Matano methods of determining diffusion constant are described. Various mechanisms of diffusion are outlined and the preference for the vacancy mechanism in the facecentred cubic metals, as judged from theoretically calculated values for activation energies, is discussed. The Kirkendall effect and the phenomenological
equations of Darken, which take this effect in account, are stated. The Onsager equations for irreversible processes and their application to diffusion are mentioned. Reference is made to metallurgical processes involving diffusion phenomenon

Implementing and Characterizing Real-time Broadband RFI Excision for the GMRT Wideband Backend
The Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) is being upgraded to increase the
receiver sensitivity. This makes the receiver more susceptible to man-made
Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). To improve the receiver performance in
presence of RFI, real-time RFI excision (filtering) is incorporated in the GMRT
wideband backend (GWB). The RFI filtering system is implemented on FPGA and
CPU-GPU platforms to detect and remove broadband and narrowband RFI. The RFI is
detected using a threshold-based technique where the threshold is computed
using Median Absolute Deviation (MAD) estimator. The filtering is carried out
by replacing the RFI samples by either noise samples or constant value or
threshold. This paper describes the status of the real-time broadband RFI
excision system in the wideband receiver chain of the upgraded GMRT (uGMRT).
The test methodology for carrying out various tests to demonstrate the
performance of broadband RFI excision at the system level and on radio
astronomical imaging experiments are also described.Comment: 7 pages, 7 figure

A novel Analysis of Image Forgery Detection Using SVM
This paper deals with basic information regarding the face recognition and whole parameters that effects the face structure and face shape. For the calculation of age, clients utilize age function combined with aging way. Face recognition is most difficult field of pattern recognition, however research in this field almost attains constancy with new difficulties emerges with time, and the research again towards the problem encounters due to aging, an automatic age technique utilized for strong face recognition is given briefly. Then user use age, commonly vector generating function or feature vector of real image to create synthesized feature vectors at target age. User uses a structure and texture vectors to show a facial image by projecting it in Eigen space of shape or texture. Images in courtrooms for evidence, graphics in newspapers and magazines, and digital graphics used by doctors are few instances that needs for pictures and not using a manipulation. Earlier, SVM algorithm failed in many instances in detection of forged picture. For the reason that single characteristic extraction algorithm, just isn#39t capable to include the certain function of the pictures. So you can overcome drawbacks of existing algorithm. We can use meta-fusion technique of HOG and Sasi elements classifier also to beat the drawback of SVM classifier.nbs
